It is also Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified, which means that the garment is health and allergy safe and which guarantees a minimum of residual chemicals in the garments.

In the production of lyocell, something called a closed loop is used, so that the chemicals and water used to make the fabric are recycled and used again. This is good because it reduces waste, reduces pollution and saves resources, making lyocell a more environmentally friendly fabric.

I've had double sided throws that weren't bonded that were much heavier than this one and was hard to maneuver, fold up and such as the sides were not bonded together. Anyway, adequate thickness and super soft. Not super heavy, not too lightweight...a goldilocks weight.
